My name is Kai Rasmussen and I am an undergraduate biology student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I am interested in the emerging field of “astrobotany” or spaceflight plant biology. I am a data scientist in the NASA funded Gilroy Lab, although previously I filled a role as a molecular biologist. I studied the peroxidase family of enzymes role in spaceflight. I am interested in democratization of research via massively parallel cloud computing.
As a project, I am the directing manager of a small multi-disciplinary company: dnestudios LLC.
My interests are cybersecurity, cryptography, programming, and skateboarding.
I also like to edit wikipedia articles from time to time (in a constructive way).
